Choosing your next pasta at Tradizioni? Our carbonara and amatriciana both bring together guanciale and Pecorino Romano, but the sauces and pasta shapes are different. Here is how they appear on our current menu.
Mezze maniche alla carbonara
We serve egg mezze maniche in a silky sauce of egg and Pecorino Romano, with guanciale and black pepper. If you enjoy a rich, cheese-led plate of pasta, this is one to consider.
Spaghetti all’amatriciana
Our amatriciana uses egg spaghetti with guanciale and gently sautéed onions in a rich tomato sauce, finished with Pecorino Romano. The photograph on this page shows our amatriciana. Choose it when you are in the mood for tomato, savoury guanciale and cheese.
What about dietary requirements?
Both dishes contain guanciale, so neither is a vegetarian option. Our menu also includes vegetarian and vegan pasta dishes, including penne all’arrabbiata. Gluten-free penne or gnocchi can be requested for pasta dishes other than lasagne. Tell our team about any allergy, intolerance or coeliac disease before ordering so we can discuss the right preparation for you.
You can read the full ingredients, current prices and other choices in our menu PDF. If you are still deciding at the table, ask us. We are happy to talk through the menu.
